Review of Little Fish (2005) by Frankie P — 17 Aug 2008
Quite a pretty soundtrack, some nice-looking scenes, Cate Blanchett, and one or two good-looking guys are the only upsides to this movie.
I honestly couldn't figure out how all the characters were related/knew each other until there were about fifteen minutes left of the movie. (Which turned out not to be a problem, because I'm pretty sure there's not really a plot. >_>).
It's a bit like Babel on sedatives, or Lost in Translation without a grain of intentional humor. Basically, really, really pathetic people caught partway through wrecking their lives in the most boring way imaginable.
If you're interested in the narcotics aspect of the film, I think you'd be much better off watching Pure.
