Review of Little Children (2006) by Jim G — 22 Mar 2009
Brilliant, pathetic, funny, and oh-so-accurate depiction of the delusional white suburban middle class. Tom Perotta, who memorably lampooned self-righteous high school politics in *Election,* here turns his gaze on self-righteous holier-than-thou suburbanites.
Great performances by Kate Winslet, Patrick Wilson, and Jackie Earle Haley as the neighborhood pariah. Not a feel-good movie by any means, but well done nonetheless.
