Review of Little Children (2006) by Arthur N — 10 Sep 2009
A pleasantly surprising film, that deals with guilt, infidelity and adulthood. Pleasantly surprising because the screenwriters allow the characters to be human as opposed to tired suburbanite caricatures, e.g. the three housewives in the beginning.
The film skirts a fine line of being didactic; however, the narration comes across as pretentious in the assumption that the audience is not smart enough to figure out what the characters are feeling and thinking.
Great performances all around. Stick with it and you will be rewarded.
