Review of Little Children (2006) by Geoff O — 13 Apr 2010
Little Children tells the stories of basically 3 different perspectives and 1 or 2 side perspectives, the first perspecive being from Sarah Pierce (Kate Winslet) a stay at home mom, that only finds being free by going to the park with her daughter Lucy, the 2nd perspective being from Brad Adamson (Patrick Wilson) & his wife Kathy (Jennifer Connelly), a couple who get by, but not good enough to Brad, Kathy keeps urging him to take the bar exam and to be a lawyer to help the family, but it's not all bad, because even though Kathy doesn't like the thought, her parents could help them out with cash, but she always politely says no.
And then the 3rd perspective being from Ronnie J. McGorvey (Jackie Earle Haley), a registered sex offender who is always meddled with by a disgraced ex-police officer named Larry Hedges (Noah Emmerich).
Little Children tells the tale of how you could just let everything go and do what you feel is right to you...despite the happy-towns folk look of the setting, you cannot pass it by and not notice the melancholy look/feel.
