Review of Little Children (2006) by Rodrigo D — 25 Apr 2009
I did not really get this film, I relised that it was full of symbolism and about how suburban life is not as beautiful as it is made out to be in despirte housewivies and that these people where just bored with there lifes and wanted what they could not have, they just wanted to be free and live on the dangerous side, like the mother who obv did not want to be a mother and be stranded with a little girl and the man who just wanted to be free like the wee boys who skated, but I was confused to the lovers affair, I thought it had lead to obsession on her part, but then it was as if he was the one obsest! I liked the ending it was like reality hit them in the face, like the women realised just how much she loved her daughter and the man relised it is ok to dream but it is different to act apone it! I liked how the roped in the other story of this man who had done terrible things in his life and how he relised in the end that he was now on this own and he can't just act like he used to! I thought that the acting was brilliant by winslet which makes me wonder why it took this long to give her an ascar.
