Review of Little Children (2006) by Alec B — 07 Aug 2009
An interesting examination of suburban life in America. Unlike many of the other films of this genre, it never condescends to the central characters or those surrounding them. The voice over narration is an interesting choice, but I thought it worked.
While Kate Winslet is always good and the rest of the cast really delivers, its Jackie Earle Haley (as a pedophile) and Phyllis Somerville (as his mother) who have the most interesting scenes in the film.
