Clearly an inspiration for 'desperate housewives' ... only this movie has some genuine shock value and some for-reals plot complexity. Sure, at the end of the day it's still 'a day in the lives of the dissatisfied rich,' but at least it asks some interesting questions along the way & is redeemed somewhat by its ability to laugh at itself.
