Yes Rico it is.
Beating the public enemy by a few months, little caesar is one of the first full feature length gangster pic. The film is an entertaining one with a great performance by edward g. you can thank this film for scarface and any other outspoken, over the top gangster ever. The main difference between Little Caesar and The Public Enemy is that with TPE, tom powers has a redeemable quality and you see him with his mother and constantly trying to make it better for her. Little Caesar is just selfish and although we can identify with his need to become 'someone' he barely seems likable.
