I'm not sure what movies some of these critics watched. What made it so good is that it was nuanced. It addresses racial tension, faith, and love in a wonderful way that allows for the best of people to come forward without ignoring the fact that often we do things for selfish reasons.
Beautiful film and packed theater I was in had hardly a dry eye. Difference between audience reviews and snobby critics telling here.
