What a movie. what an amazing movie. first of all the director must had a thing for the movie WORKING GIRL with melanie griifin because the movie is quoted all over this movie and the main song is played over and over again.
also the director must have something for carly simon because besides the fact that all her songs are in the movie she also makes a cameo role at the end. the movie is awesome. it is a about a girl (brittany murphy) who goes to work at a local talk show , something like jerry springer, but in the movie the talk show host is kathy bates.
and holly hunter plays the producer that hires murphy as her assistant. when looking for new material, they come across murphy' boyfriend little balck book and murphy decides to investigate his past relationships to see if she really is with the right guy.
big, huge mistake, wehile she starts to untwist the live of her boyfriend, she ends up changing the lives of his ex and hers. the ending is a bit surprising. this movie made me laugh, cry, be angry . overall it is an excellent comedy romance and it is worth seeing and owning.
it is a chick flick but then again I am a woman so why would I not love it.
