Wow!!! This movie is AMAZING!!! This movie is so inspiring, powerful, and moving!!! Brittany Murphy is awesome!!! I just think the story, how Stacy's life turns out amazing in the end, and she gets everything she ever wanted, is so beautiful.
She makes the decision to snoop in her boyfriend's past life, and knowledge is power to her, but it comes at a cost. Even though she doesn't get the guy in the end, her life becomes everything she ever wanted!!! She finally gets a job working with her idol, Diane Sawyer, AND she gets to meet her favorite singer, Carly Simon!!! This movie is AWESOME!!! I have to say, I never saw the ending coming, with Barb betraying her and everything.
Throughout the whole movie I thought that Barb was her best friend. I do understand what Barb said, that she was just trying to help Stacey get out of her relationship since Derek was keeping so much from her, but she was so evil in going about it.
I totally agree with Stacey that Barb was a COMPLETE JERK!!! I really do like this movie A LOT!!! It's so empowering to women, that you don't need a guy to be happy and be successful. I just think this movie is a beautiful, inspiring story!!! I'm really mad though that there was no resolution between Stacy and Joyce.
That was really sad because I think they could have been really great friends. In the trailer, there was a clip where Joyce was saying to Stacy, "Why didn't you just tell me you were with him?" or something like that, so when I watched the movie, I thought there would be resolution between Stacy and Joyce, but they must've cut that scene out or something.
There aren't even any deleted scenes on the DVD! That's the one thing that bothered me about the movie, is that there was no resolution between Stacy and Joyce. I thought there would be and they could be friends still if Stacy could explain everything to her.
And I also really wish that there was some certainty in what happened between Joyce and Derek. It seems like they ended up together, but it doesn't say for sure. Anyway, I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
