Review of Little Big League (1994) by Eric C — 16 Jul 2008
This was probably my favorite of the little-league baseball movies that came out while I was young (and by young I mean 13 :) ). And yes, that includes the ever-popular The Sandlot. It was believable because a kid could coach a baseball team.
It didn't have Danny Glover telling Tony Danza, "You gottan angel wichu" while the little boys flap their arms like dandies. But instead it had the boy getting busted for ordering tons of room service and watching adult movies about naughty nurses in his hotel room.
Actually, this may even be the best youth sports-related film from the era, and that includes both the Mighty Ducks and D2, plus the classic Little Giants.
