Overwhelmingly a love story, Little Ashes chronicles the relationship between Salvadore Dali and Federico Garcia Lorca.
Some of the scenes were uncomfortable but, while the acting was not consistently great, there were enough moments of brilliance to keep the movie afloat. The visual impact of the film was the most rewarding aspect. Sets, wardrobe, location and cast were all striking.
