Review of Listen to Me Marlon (2015) by Christopher W — 30 Apr 2016
This was a fascinating glimpse into the mind of an older, increasingly isolated Brando, very confessional. But most revealing is the disconnect between his self-justifications and the viewer's judgment.
He wants sympathy, but the tragedy of his descent is almost entirely of his own making. The "desserts" self-hypnotism scene is perhaps the most desperate and pathetic of the entire film. This is a man who completely lost his way.
A must-see for fans, film industry people, or students of human behavior.
