What a disappointment! Great cast, but overwhelmed by a heavy-handed message. Of the 3 story threads, the one with the most promise was the senator-journalist exchange (Cruise and Streep give excellent performances here), but even that sputters at the end.
The story of the two young men in Afghanistan was emotionally manipulative and unbelievable, and the story of the college prof and apathetic student meandered to... nowhere.
