Review of Lions for Lambs (2007) by Bobor J — 24 Oct 2008
A good movie from Sundance and director Robert Redford, but perhaps trying a little too hard as it bordered between teaching and preaching. A politically driven film that speaks of the indifference and responsibility as a citizen of this country.
There are 3 stories here that don't blend too well into the one it is trying to tell - a congressman and a journalist, a college student and a professor and two young soldiers injured and left for bait behind enemy lines.
It tries hard to show all sides of the situation this country is in and how we got here and to bring thought and discussion to the table. A good film with good intentions, but trying in the way it was presented.
