Review of Lions for Lambs (2007) by Robert M — 01 Nov 2008
I don't know what possessed Robert Redford to make this. First of all: Tom Cruise. Every time this man was on screen, I wanted him to stop talking. At least hair and make-up had the common sense not to use his man-bangs for this character.
Nice concept, but ultimately boring and a little blatant in the message it was obviously trying to get out to young people, even though I don't even think young people would go see this movie. And what was with the token minorities used for his Redford's former students? Was that necessary? My favorite parts were in his office with the kid. It's nice to see professors who really care about their students and see the potential in them.
