Review of Lions for Lambs (2007) by Adam R — 30 Jan 2009
The makers of this movie forgot that they were making a movie and not making a speech. The political rhetoric in this movie is so obnoxiously loud and blatant, it takes you out of the film (no matter what your political beliefs are).
It gets in the way of what could have been a good story about the young, brave talent being sent to die for the causes of the old, cowardous fools. If they had stuck to that main theme of "Lions for Lambs," this would have been a good film.
On a positive note, the three storylines were intertwined very well, and Merly Streep is simply a good actress.
