Redford is getting worse as a director, as he ages. This is such a cliche of a movie dealing with the war in Afghanistan with Redford's liberal bent, thrown in for good measure. Redford thinks he is offering a balanced view but falls far short.
It is funning watching this now with Obama as prez, with the troop build up and rescinding of th July 2011 withdrawal deadline. The only think I agree with Redford is the incredible apathy among the 32 and under crowd about politics. Tom Cruise a Republican Senator from Illinois? Come on!!
