Review of Lions for Lambs (2007) by Andrew C — 01 Jan 2011
Movies about Iraq, Afghanistan & the War On Terror have performed poorly (especially when, like this one, they aren't action movies) and this movie underperformed hugely. 90 minutes of people talking may not sound exciting to you but I was riveted to the fine writing and better acting from perfectly cast legends.
Balancing pro-military & anti-war, new journalism & new politics, old professors and young students (a slacker and some upstarts), this movie over-achieved on its goal of getting people to think from multiple angles on issues facing us and our children today.
4/19/9.
