Review of Lionheart (1990) by Paul S — 27 Mar 2009
At least one of the top three films wherein Van Damme goes AWOL to avenge something or other by bloodsport. Kinda bizarre for its assimilation of professional wrestling moves, the family unit presented, an ending melodramatic enough to make DW Griffith blush, and pretty much the entirety of the unitard duel in the largely empty pool.
Also bizarre for the fact that Brian Thompson is in it, yet at no point does he make a weird face and kill someone. For a guy a nicknamed 'Lionheart,' he hits an awful amount of people in the pills.
