Review of Lion (2016) by Omar L — 06 Feb 2017
The stories of real life are the stuff of which the best movies are made, and this is no exception. Here, we see the ugliness of the world, the randomness, and the goodness that perseveres in spite of it.
The final act "Lion" is similar in feeling to the epiphany that Alex Haley has at the end of Roots: The Next Generations, and the entirety of this movie is just absolutely beautiful.
