Review of Lion (2016) by Matthew F. J — 25 Apr 2017
This beautiful film tells the story of a young boy who gets lost in India far away from his home and ends up being adopted by a Tasmanian family before searching for his birth family a few years later.
Although the story is simple and quite straight forward, the film is an incredibly moving and touching piece of film making. The cast, the natural locations, the storyline, everything feels and looks authentic.
Nicole Kidman finds here one of her best part ever and delivers an oscar worthy performance. Dev Patel confirms how versatile and talented he is as a young actor. Definitely the most heartwarming film I have seen this year in theaters.
A must see.
