Review of Lion (2016) by Adam T — 31 May 2017
Lion reminded me a little of Slumdog Millionaire. It made very good use of locations and the acting was terrific (even the little boy Saroo). The emotional pull of the film was it's 'lost boy looking for home' scenario and potentially, that could have been predictable but this was skillfully avoided and what emerged was a warm, heartfelt story.
