Review of Lion (2015) by Katherine C — 24 Feb 2017

Lion tells a beautiful story. The first half was brilliantly done, but the second half felt rushed. Sunny Pawar was amazing as young Saroo, and the cinematography captures life through his eyes perfectly.

There are several things in the second half that I don't feel as though they did justice to. It made me feel like parts should have been left out, but I would rather have the movie be a bit longer and flesh out the full story.

I also feel like they could have represented the Google Earth searching better. It feels lopsided until the ending when you forget every flaw this movie had and just relish the story. It was a very emotional experience, and while the movie isn't perfect, I definitely recommend it.
