Review of Lincoln (2012) by Gaspar O — 18 Jul 2013
I always love seeing douchebags get defeated, no matter the contest, but this is a game that, sadly, continues to play on, 150 years later. I can't say I've seen all the Best Actor nominees from this year, but this performance from Daniel Day-Lewis was certainly worthy of the trophy.
Tommy Lee was great too in a much smaller part. Spader had me hornswoggled. When I saw his name in the credits, my wife and I simultaneously said something like "unh"? We went back and found him and then it was obvious, but without looking for him or expecting to see him, we had no idea that was him.
