This movie was overhyped and overrated. I love movies from this era and admire Lincoln. But, a movie about Congress passing a bill...? Really!? Inside baseball politics of the 19th Century is not many people's favorite topic.
There are so many more interesting angles to make an epic feature movie from this time. Plus, the historical revisionism and silly liberties detract from the movie. I'm starting to think Spielberg has a political agenda and isn't as talented as thought to be.
