What a horrible turgid mess of a movie; anchored by Lewis's self-absorbed maddening performance that has the sole virtue of being less repulsive than his character in "There Will be Blood." At whatever stage that we can step back from how politically correct this movie is we will be forced to face the fact that Raymond Massey did a better acting job.
