Perhaps the most meticulously acted film I've ever seen, this movie is a piece of history that should be mandatory viewing for every American. Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor on the face of the earth as he proves once again, and Tommy Lee Jones hits a career peak as Thaddeus Stevens.
This is truly great filmmaking, worthy of the truly great men it depicts.
