Review of Lincoln (2012) by Jack C — 11 Jul 2014
Lincoln is a well drawn out historical film and, for the best parts, an exciting court drama, with the strong tension between Republican and Democrats over a moral dilemma that simply does not "compute" with us as a modern day audience.
It is here where we watch anxiously with Thaddeus Stevens' eyes and panic with Lincoln's nerves, with strong credit to both of those performances. Spielberg has an excellent eye for detail and this was shown with brilliant cinematography throughout.
