Review of Lincoln (2012) by Cineman P — 13 Mar 2015
'Lincoln' is an important, poignant drama that takes an in-depth look at the final months of President Abraham Lincoln's life thanks to Steven Spielberg's careful directing and Daniel Day-Lewis' powerful performance.
You get so lost and immersed into the movie's world, you actually feel like that's Abraham Lincoln right there in front of you. It's like Spielberg used a time machine and took his audience back in time to witness these important events as Lincoln tries his hardest to abolish slavery.
Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones are also magnificent as Mary Todd Lincoln and Thaddeus Stevens, the rest of the cast do a great job as well.
I consider this to be Steven Spielberg's best movie since 'Schindler's List' (1993) and 'Saving Private Ryan' (1998).
