Review of Lincoln (2012) by Steve G — 19 Apr 2016
Well if you have read anything on the man this will be a bit of a let down. Nothing much more than the story that mad him a great man...to a point. If you read he wasn't so much against slavery so much as for ending the war.
This movie doesn't shy away from that fact. Daniel Day Lewis is amazing as always and you forget you are watching an actor. Plus they have every great character actor in this movie to help uplift a story that gets a bit strung out and repeats itself.
It is a solid and honest story of what we can trust really happened.
