Review of Lilo & Stitch (2002) by Tony C — 20 Aug 2009
My personal favorite Disney film and film of all time. The movie truly shows a return to the watercolor backgrounds and old school Disney animation. The movie contains a truly great look due to this feature and truly feels like those classic movies from Disney with great premise, storytelling, and an original look and feel.
The characters are all very original with Stitch, a more violent and conflicted Disney character, and Lilo, a very strong and opinionated young girl who has a strong attitude and tells people what she thinks of them.
The story is deep due to great character development and story that has multiple levels of confliction and depth due to this. The movie has a great moral and is great in the sci fi, animation, or any genre of movies.
The great marketing for this movie was truly original putting Stitch in various Disnay films to destroy them. This shows that Disney can poke fun at its self and that is true comic genius. The movie is great to watch over and over and is truly one of those great Disney movies that will stand up the test of time.
