Review of Like Water for Chocolate (1992) by Anna C — 04 Dec 2007
This is a Mexican version of Romeo and Juliet. It was the first foreign movie to make it to the big screen in the US. It's still my very favorite movie. It mixes culture with humor, tragedy and romance.
I love all the metaphors from the out house fire to the mile long crocheted blanket.
