Review of Like Mike (2002) by Steve W — 23 May 2011
Although entertaining at a couple points, Like Mike presents an overall formulated picture that relies on cliches and stupid humor to get its murky point across. The acting is atrocious, and the obviously inserted humor made me cringe when the one-liners spilled out.
The story itself hold little weight and I predicted the outcome from the start. If there was an award for overacting, Like Mike would be a prime candidate.
Seems like an advertisement for the NBA more than a real film, and in no way grants a watch barring a distraction for small children.
