Review of Like Dandelion Dust (2009) by Mandy S — 16 Jul 2011
I cannot understand why there are so many positive reviews for this movie. Well-acted, yes. Good casting, yes. But the plot is not credible whatsoever. A kid is taken away from his adoptive parents after seven years to be returned to his biological parents, one of whom just got out of prison for beating his wife? Then the adoptive parents just sit around twiddling their thumbs until bio-dad bruises the kid, at which point they've finally got some hope of keeping their son, right? But no, this is the time they choose to finally flee the country.
And for some nonsensical reason, they decide the best way to do so is to go on a mission trip to haiti with relatives. Am I the only person who thinks this plot doesn't make sense??
