Most remarkably, the dialogue is completely unscripted offering a naturally awkward and endearing simplicity to the audience. On-again off-again young love gradually loses its momentum as too much friction is at play, and the final scene, while interpretable in many ways, seems to me to embody the more mature sides of love: devotion and dedication.
