Review of Like Crazy (2011) by Ian E — 03 Feb 2013
Earlier today I watched The Tempest which cast Felicity Jones as Miranda. A quick internet search reveals that Felicity is indeed from my home town of Birmingham. So this prompted me to see how she fared in 'Like Crazy'.
This is a story about first deep love at college and the attempts and failures to manage a long distance relationship. As one reviewer said "There are no easy answers in this film, and your ultimate interpretation and perhaps enjoyment of the film depends on what you bring to the table, and your feelings on love, and just how much you believe in it".
Felicity Jones did a great job and as a bonus, Jennifer Lawrence (another of my favourites) popped up unexpectedly. The film was not a romantic comedy and neither was it a 100% chick flick. I enjoyed it very much and tomorrow will see me watch 'Hysteria' which also has our local Birmingham girl in.
Go Felicity.... oh did I forget to mention she was in Doctor Who?
