Review of Lights Out (2016) by Ken J — 01 Aug 2016

While the film offered several jump scares that were enjoyable, as a whole it was a disappointment. While they hinted at a back story the director offered the audience no real illumination as to why these happenings were taking place, and at less than 90 minutes he had plenty of time to throw us some bones. I figured out a lot on my own, but the movie needs to verify to me that I have come to the right conclusions.

Lazy filmmaking, plain and simple.
