Review of Lights Out (2016) by Christopher Q — 12 Aug 2016
Almost every PG-13 horror movie ends up falling flat mostly because you know it can't be that scary being not R rated. However, this is one of those rare movies that actually gets you thinking and holds your disbelief.
It has a lot of your typical jump scares but also includes a well unknown cast that meshes well and whose motivations actually seem to make some sense. While in some ways the ending was necessary it was a bit anti climactic after all the time put into building up to it.
This is nice movie for the horror novice or those that don't like a gore fest or your typical vampire campy horror flick.
