It seems like for the past few summers we have been getting these nice little horror movie surprises. Insidious, The Conjuring are two that come to mind and now we have Lights Out. I've got to hand it to these folks, this is new story with some standard type scares, but a lot of fun.
I really like the old school use of creeks, and crawls as opposed to a bunch of CGI. This movie will make you jump a few times for sure, but is tolerable for the weaker hearts too. In a summer full of the same old same old, Lights Out is one of the brighter spots.
