Occasionally nerve shredding and always interesting. 'Lights Out' is an above average horror romp that treads familiar ground for sure, but is elevated by a stellar cast of characters, a truly demonic villain and a final set piece to die for - sure, not once is it even close to being as scary as the three minute short it's based off; but lights out may just leave you sleeping with the lights on.
