Review of Lifeforce (1985) by J.b. R — 26 Aug 2011
Hooooolllllly Cow, this movie is all over the map and completely nuts. And brilliant. It starts off as this oddball science fiction mystery about Space Vampires found in the head of Haley's Commit and transforms into this massive apocalyptic tale in which Steve Railsback's astronaut has a close call makeout session with Mad Doctor Patrick Stewart! Utterly fantastic creature work, beautiful matte paintings, and Mathilda May devestating men at every turn without a stitch of clothing.
And then there's something about a magic sword...Genius! VF * although there is some blood.
