Review of Lifeforce (1985) by Riley H — 03 Apr 2011
A bunch of pretty interesting ideas (and a bunch of not so interesting ideas) with some decent-for-their-time-effects are spoiled completely by the total utter lack of character development. Is there a main character? Perhaps, but he's not in half of the scenes of the film.
The "hey we can make a movie with a bunch of different characters you never really know anything about and it will work" idea is so amateurish I don't even know what to call it.
