Review of Lifeforce (1985) by Jeffrey D — 26 Nov 2013
The best vampire film I've ever seen, combining sci-fi, fantasy, horror, epic, suspense, mystery and disaster genres into a chilling and novel flick. Based on The Space Vampires, by Colin Wilson, LIFEFORCE is also a nifty homage to the horror films of Hammer, and the Quatermass serials and movies.
Kudos to John Dykstra's special effects, Tobe Hooper's direction, Henry Mancini's score... and Mathilda May as the sexiest vampiress ever seen on the big screen (she would have Angelina Jolie for lunch and ask for seconds)!
