Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Matt K — 24 Oct 2008
A premise that has now been copied many times over. A random collection of strangers are stuck in a life-or-death situation together and have to work with each other to get through it. Power struggles, paranoia and issues of trust come up and we see how ordinarily civilized people act in unusual circumstances.
Hitchcock's cameo appearance (as a before and after weight loss ad in a newspaper) is hilarious.
