Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Carson Y — 19 Mar 2009
Amazing character development. One of those movies that doesn't give you easy answers. We want to align ourselves with the allies in the lifeboat, but they are so flawed and, at times, so terrible.
For a minute or two, we find ourselves wondering if we're supposed to learn from the Nazi. And, in the end, well, we'd rather not be any of them, I guess. No heroes or villains in this world--only very complicated people.
