Review of Life Stinks (1991) by Tom R — 17 Jul 2009
Although it's not as funny or memorable as Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, or Young Frankenstein, this is a very good Mel Brooks film. My favorite part has to be the first fifteen or so minutes, when it seems like Brooks is replaying President Skroob from Spaceballs.
The plot about a millionaire tycoon having to live as a homeless person for thirty days is predictable, but there's a lot of heart in the story. If you're a fan of Brooks, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
.. just a little confused why the movie isn't a spoof like his other 5-star work.
