I'm not sure what movie the critics panning this were watching, but I just got back from a full house that enjoyed it from start to finish. Is it predictable? Yes, but it's also very very funny.
Perhaps those critics were expecting another male fantasy story about how women dumped by their husbands mid-life will act?
