Review of Life of the Party (2018) by Linda C — 13 May 2018

I think Melissa McCarthy is a talented comedic actress, so I had moderate if not high hopes for this movie. Unfortunately, though, watching this felt like going to a dud party where people were trying too hard but not succeeding in having a good time. There were some funny moments-most of which appeared in the trailers-but too many of the jokes just fell flat.

This was one party that was on life support for much of its run. Sometimes it's better just to stay home and watch Netflix.
